Leak & Flood Mitigation

Stopping the water, pulling it out, and keeping it from spreading. Water missed at this stage comes back later as mold and structural damage.

Water Extraction & Drying

Not the water you can see, but the moisture inside walls and under floors. How many days the equipment runs is what moves the quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

It varies enormously with how far the damage went. One wet bedroom floor and a fully flooded basement are different orders of magnitude. What sets the number is the wet square footage, the contamination category of the water, how many days the drying equipment has to run, and how much rebuilding is needed to put back what was cut out. We get you quotes from vetted contractors and explain what each line means in Korean.

Depends where it went. If it was clean water sitting on the surface and you wiped it up right away, you may be fine. The problem is water that got inside the wall, behind the baseboard, or under the flooring. A fan will not dry that, and the surface can look dry while the inside is still wet. Do not call it dry until a moisture meter says so.

The number the industry works from is 24 to 48 hours. But that is a set of conditions, not a clock. Temperature, humidity, and what material got wet all change it. Paper-faced drywall and wood go fast. Which is why what you do in the first two days decides what you pay later.

Because there are two jobs. One is mitigation, getting the water out, drying it down, and handling contamination. The other is the rebuild, putting back the drywall and flooring that got cut out along the way. Insurance usually treats them separately too. Two invoices is not double billing, and if you only got one, the rest of the work is still ahead of you.

We can help you understand the damage, but the repair contract and the insurance claim are normally the property owner’s. If you rent, tell your landlord first. Keep a record of the date you told them and what you said, it helps later.

Yes, 100% free. There is no cost to be matched and no cost for a quote. The contractor who wins the job pays our fee.

Yes. That is most of what we do. We walk you through the contractor’s paperwork and the estimate your carrier sends, in Korean. We are not an insurance agent and we cannot promise your claim gets paid.

Not yet. Our restoration partners do not have Korean-speaking crews. So Korean Home Service handles the Korean. We translate the documents, and if you want, we join the on-site walkthrough with you.
